Another batch of several hundred vehicles ordered by the South Central Ambulance Service will soon be delivered and start service in the UK.
THE NEW WAS 300 AMBULANCE
The base on which these state-of-the-art ambulance units have been built is the Fiat Ducato Maxi with the longest wheelbase and maximum raised roof, powered by a 180-horsepower 3.0 MultiJet Power engine.
The inclusion of an electrically assisted stretcher, pneumatic suspension, loading ramp, and winch has allowed for an increased maximum permissible gross weight of up to 4,250kg. This comprehensive setup ensures comfortable and secure transport, prioritizing the comfort and safety of all patients.
The ambulance is equipped with several systems to facilitate the daily work of the emergency services, including:

A centre console in the drivers compartment for storing personal protective equipment and documents, additional LED lighting.

A Protego seat in the medical compartment with integrated safety belts to enable the safe transport of children.

A 360-degree camera system with recorder.

A 'panic' strips along the entire medical compartment to activate video and audio recording in the event of an emergency to medical personnel.

A control system with voice notification of under-charged batteries, open doors, external power connected or voltage inverter on.

Windows with built-in blinds for the utmost privacy.
